New Website, Who Dis?

Welcome!

It’s no secret that the MCF site needed a little facelift. Between the invalid SSL certificate and the out-of-date info to the poor mobile formatting and clunky editor, it was maybe due for more of a whole face transplant. The reality is there was a whole host of issues that plagued the org and interfered with the ability to serve the community. The team has been hard at work trying to get on top of the issues before the summer season got going, and we’re about ready to start rolling it out!

In terms of the website, we opted to start entirely fresh. Clean slate. The existing domain, mcf.net, was nice and short, but the .net top level domain felt dated and hokey. The new domain, mncyclingfederation.org, more accurately represents our non-profit status, and brings us out of the 90’s.

This website will continue to be a work in progress, too. We’ve discussed at length the best ways to serve the community and functioning as an information hub is a goal we aim to make some serious progress on in 2024. It shouldn’t be such a challenge to find a more comprehensive racing calendar, local clubs, how and where to find group rides, resources for aspiring promoters, and so on. We will also try to use this site and our socials to highlight goings on in the community, and community members out doing inspiring things!

If you have any suggestions for things you want to see either here or on socials, please reach out!

Looking forward to this year, y’all. Can’t wait to see everyone out at the races this summer, don’t be afraid to stop me or any of the other board members and say hey!
